Influenced from Indian heritage and culture, Rimjhim is an ode to many things Indian – even our rains, as the name suggests. Borrowing heavily from the traditional art of bandhej, Rimjhim is all about bandhani prints in varying silhouettes and colours of contemporary ease. This collection looks beyond monsoon gloom with colours like the iconic rani pink, scarlet red, emerald green, kesariya yellow, purple and the Indian royal blue – colours that are a part of the great Indian fabric, looming over generations.
The silhouettes in this collection are inspired by the modern woman herself – sophisticated, urban yet rooted. Much like a drizzle, she’s calm and composed but when triggered, she’ll be a down pour. Structural outfits like blazers and cropped jackets – a first for Pink City by Sarika – along with flowing kaftans and capes – Pink City classics – overpower Rimjhim.
There’s something for everyone in this collection. Rimjhim is an ode to the evergreen elegance of the modern Indian woman, her beauty, her sensibilities. Her.
